Braves Tickets Guide – Best Food at Turner Field

February 4, 2014

Scoring Atlanta Braves tickets means you get to look forward to a fun afternoon or evening of baseball at Turner Field (at least until 2017, when the team plans to relocate to a new stadium in an Atlanta suburb). Those tickets also mean that you get the chance to enjoy gourmet-style food from one of these tasty venues.

Kevin Rathbun Steak

Kevin Rathbun, one of Georgia’s most successful chefs, brings his signature steak to Turner Field. Just because you’re chowing down on a delicious steak, though, doesn’t mean you have to sit at a table instead of watching the Braves play. Rathbun has transformed his steak into a sandwich that you can eat in the stands without help from a table, knife, or fork.

The steak sandwich is quite juicy, though, so grab a few extra napkins before heading back to your seat.

La Taqueria

La Taqueria, located in Section 321, offers exactly the kind of south-of-the-border items you would expect, including:

  • tacos
  • nachos
  • burritos

La Taqueria makes all tacos fresh on site, so you don’t have to worry about soggy shells. Since all tacos are made-to-order, you also get to choose the toppings that you prefer. Want extra sour cream? Just ask for it. Prefer healthier toppings like lettuce and tomatoes? La Taqueria has those, too.

Peachtree Street Pizza

Peachtree Street Pizza has locations throughout Turner Field, including Sections 124, 125, 223, and 407. No matter where you sit, you can find a slice nearby.

Peachtree Street Pizza serves more than slices, though. You can also buy a whole pie for your group. (Or eat the pizza yourself, watching baseball can make a person hungry!)

The venues also have traditional baseball foods, including:

  • roasted peanuts
  • Cracker Jacks
  • hotdogs

They even offer combo meals that will fill you up and keep you hydrated without draining every dollar from your wallet.

Smoke House BBQ

Fan Plaza offers a ton of refreshment options. Since you’re in Georgia, though, you might as well enjoy some traditional Georgia barbeque. No one at Turner Field does that better than Smoke House BBQ.

The menu includes house favorites like:

  • barbeque nachos (pork or chicken)
  • pulled pork barbeque sandwiches
  • smoked chicken sandwiches
  • smoked turkey sandwiches

Like any respectable barbeque joint, Smoke House BBQ also has mouth-watering sides, including:

  • cole slaw
  • baked beans
  • macaroni and cheese

You can even wash it all down with a beer or refillable soda.

The Braves Chop House: Restaurant

Perhaps you want more than the typical refreshment stand can offer. In that case, you should head to The Braves Chop House: Restaurant, located in Sections 143 through 149.

This restaurant has something for every member of your group, including the kids.

The menu includes:

  • nachos
  • wings
  • chicken tenders
  • kettle chips
  • smoked turkey club sandwiches
  • smoked turkey Cobb salads
  • and much more

Vegetarians also have options at The Braves Chop House, including a southwest black bean veggie burger that comes with all the fixings.

What restaurant or vendor do you usually visit when watching the Braves play at Turner Field? Are there any options that you insist move with the stadium in 2017?
